An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 13 1/2" x 30" [34 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) Summer Holiday, the 1947 Rouben Mamoulian family relationship coming-of-age vacation musical comedy ("MGM's great American Musical!"; "Based on the play 'Ah, Wilderness!' by Eugene O'Neill") starring Mickey Rooney, Gloria DeHaven, Walter Huston, Frank Morgan, Butch Jenkins, Marilyn Maxwell, Agnes Moorehead, and Selena Royle. Note that there was a 1935 adaptation of this same Eugene O'Neill play, filmed under its original title. In that movie, Mickey Rooney played the younger brother, the part played by Butch Jenkins in this movie! Also note that this movie was originally filmed in 1946, but was not released until the very end of 1947, for unknown reasons. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
