An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Gentleman Joe Palooka, the 1946 Cy Endfield (billed as "Cyril Endfield") boxing sports comedy ("Plus All American Tommy Harmon"; "Based on the comic strip by Ham Fisher") starring Leon Errol ("as Knobby Walsh"), Joe Kirkwood Jr. (in the title role as "as Joe Palooka"), Guy Kibbee, Elyse Knox, Lionel Stander, H.B. Warner, Stanley Prager, and Tom Harmon (billed as "plus All American Tommy Harmon") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Ham Fisher Condition: good to very good. Prior to linenbacking, the poster had darkened somewhat. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and separation, some tiny tears, and some tiny paper loss in the vertical foldline, and a lesser amount in the horizontal foldlines. There were some water stains in the bottom credits area, in the white background. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but the restorer did nothing to address the water stains in the bottom credits area (any talented restorer could perform additional restoration to this area without re-backing the poster).
