An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 28 1/4" x 43 3/4" [72 x 111 cm]) (Learn More)

Home Town Girl, Plight of a Teen-Ager, the circa 1940s bad girl teen-age melodrama ("Is emotional disturbance the cause?"; "Every father! Every mother! Must see it!"; "A great family picture"; "Plight of a teen age girl") starring ("All star Hollywood cast of tomorrow") Devvy Davenport, Danny Mills, Pat Carrol, and Don Mathers. Note that we are having great difficulty identifying this movie! There IS a movie called "Hometown Girl" from 1948, but the title is two words instead of three, and we can't find any more about that movie anyway! We looked up each of the actors listed on one of the posters for this movie, and there is a 1951 movie called "French Follies", which has exactly two of them, but that doesn't sound like the right movie, and there is no other movie that has even more than one of them. So, at this point, we are stumped, and turn to you to tell us more about this movie! If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet measures 28 1/4" x 43 3/4" [72 x 111 cm].

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some separation, tears, creases, and tiny paper loss on parts of some foldlines, and around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
