An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Eagle and the Hawk, the 1933 Stuart Walker World War I (WWI) military romantic love triangle Royal Air Force Squadron airplane aviation fighter pilot thriller ("They dedicated their lives... to Death!"; "Live with Men who don't live long!"; "By the author or 'Wings'"; a wild story of American pilots in the RAF in World War I; an ace pilot has great animosity for an "observer", the person who flies with the pilot and helps spot the enemy, but they must fly missions together; the pilot finally succumbs to the endless stress and commits suicide, and the observer wants him to remain a hero, so he takes his body up in a plane and makes it look like he was killed in action) starring Fredric March, Cary Grant, Carole Lombard (third billed in this war movie, in a small role, playing "The Beautiful Lady"!), Jack Oakie, and Guy Standing. Note that this was still early enough in Cary Grant's career that he had the unsympathetic role of the observer, while Fredric March had the glamorous role of the ace war pilot! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this scene card, and the last one sold for $500! Finally, note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. There is light water staining at bottom center and in the bottom left corner. There is a tiny piece of tape in each corner, with tiny surface paper loss in the top left blank corner. There are smudges, stains, tiny tears, and tiny bits of paper loss around the edges, with two tears in the middle left. Fortunately, the above defects mostly only affect the borders or background areas, and the card can still be displayed as it is, but please look at our super-sized images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this card.
