An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Movie Window Card (WC; measures 13" x 21" [33 x 53 cm]) (Learn More) The World's Applause, the 1923 William C. de Mille silent Broadway acting romantic love triangle murder melodrama ("You'll cheer too - with 'The World's Applause'"; "By Clara Beranger"; about a Broadway star who wants everyone to love her, and that even includes the husband of her producer's sister, and then there is a murder, but everything works out in the end) starring Bebe Daniels, Lewis Stone, Kathlyn Williams, Adolphe Menjou, and Brandon Hurst. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned some lobby cards and a Swedish poster from this movie (and NO other movie paper) until we received this window card! Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: good to very good. The card has creases, smudges, scuffs, and some stains around the edges, with a few small tears in the borders. Someone lightly bleached the card and started to do some restoration without backing the card, but then stopped. Obviously, the card can have as much additional restoration as the new owner wants, but bear all of the above in mind before bidding on this card. Learn More about condition grades
