An Original 1980 (from the first release of this movie in France) Vintage Theatrical Folded French "Affiche" Movie Poster (23x32; measures 23" x 30 1/2" [58 x 77 cm]) (Learn More) the international theatrical release of The Muppets Go Hollywood, the 1979 Stan Harris California made-for-TV family puppet comedy featuring the voices of Frank Oz (as Animal, Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, Sam the Eagle, and more!), Jerry Nelson, Richard Hunt, Dave Goelz, Steve Whitmire, Kathryn Mullen, and Jim Henson (as Kermit the Frog, Rowlf, The Swedish Chef, and more!), and featuring appearances by Mel Brooks, James Coburn, Bob Hope, Telly Savalas, and Orson Welles. Note that this movie was made to promote the theatrical movie "The Muppet Movie" released the same year. In it, Kermit and the rest of the Muppets are throwing a party to celebrate the opening of their movie! Sadly, it is never shown, but it is occasionally uploaded to YouTube (and then removed when someone at the studio notices it!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Over the past several months we auctioned two different sets of these six great French parody posters from The Muppets Go Hollywood (which were not used on any other poster that we know of and included parodies of Star Wars, Jaws, James Bond and more and they sold for $226 for the Star Wars one, and $159 for the Jaws one). Now we have been consigned another group of six, and they are in six separate auctions, including this one. This is the last set of these posters that we were consigned, so unless we are consigned more from another consignor in the future, we likely won't have more of these anytime soon (because we had only auctioned a few single ones prior to being consigned these three sets of six). Also, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.e. Condition: very good. The poster has minor fold and border wear.
