An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) The Revenge of Frankenstein, the 1958 Terence Fisher English Hammer monster horror thriller ("The new and most terrifying Frankenstein... The world's greatest horrorama!"; "New and greatest Frankenstein monsterpiece!!"; "We dare you to see it! We double-dare you to forget it!"; "Keep your seat... don't panic... remember that the screams you hear will be your own!"; "If you go alone... You'll find yourself running all the way home!"; "Terror will seize you! Tension will squeeze you! Chills will freeze you!"; "Screen's Greatest Screamfest!"; "'The Revenge' is twice as horrifying as 'The Curse'!"; "In Super-Natural Technicolor"; "A living corpse walks the night - it is the Revenge of Frankenstein"; "Presented for the first time in colour."; "Written by Jimmy Sangster"; in this entry in the series, the doctor is sentenced to death, but escapes, and he resumes his experiments, but in this movie, he uses a dead body and transplants his dwarf assistant Fritz's brain into it, but oddly, there is no monster credited!) starring Peter Cushing (as the Baron Frankenstein; to throw people off the track, he uses the pseudonym "Dr. Victor Stein"), Eunice Gayson, Francis Matthews, Michael Gwynn, John Welsh, Lionel Jeffries (as Fritz), and Oscar Quitak (as the dwarf) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Most half-sheet posters were folded once horizontally and once vertically right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded example of most half-sheets, especially from before 1970! Condition: good. There was something attached with tape to the back of much of the middle right of the poster (approximately 9" wide, running down much of the height of the poster). Someone roughly removed that, causing a lot of surface paper loss on the back of the poster in that area. It has little effect on the front, but the paper is much "thinner" in that entire area. Someone else put two long pieces of brown paper tape on the back of much of the top and bottom borders, and down the left and right of the surface paper loss area described above. ALL OF THE ABOVE IS ON THE BACK OF THE POSTER! The front of the poster has surface paper loss across the entire top half of the top blank border and some surface paper loss scattered across the bottom blank border. There are some creases and scuffs scattered throughout the image and there is a tiny drip white paint stain in the dress of the girl at bottom center, and approximately a dozen other tiny white dot paint stains scattered around the edges of the monster. Certainly, this poster has significant defects, but it is also true that, after a simple paperbacking by a talented professional, the poster will look fantastic, and there will be little paint restoration anywhere on it (except possibly on the tiny areas of the dot paint stains, if they can't be chemically removed)!
