Mr. Doodle Kicks Off, the 1938 Leslie Goodwins family relationship college football sports romantic screwball comedy (about a rich man who offers a giant endowment to his alma mater if his son becomes a football hero there, but his son is small and scrawny, and wants to be a bandleader, but everything works out in the end) starring Joe Penner (the famous radio comedian!; in the title role as Jimmie 'Doodle' Bugs), June Travis, Richard Lane, Ben Alexander, Billy Gilbert, Jack Carson, and Alan Bruce
