An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Six-Sheet Movie Poster (6sh; measures 81" x 81" [206 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Coney Island, the 1943 Walter Lang Brooklyn New York City romantic love triangle musical comedy ("Sizzling... spectacle-songs-romance in the swellest musical ever!!"; set in the famous New York City Brooklyn summer amusement park and beach, which is currently being renovated and will return to its former glory!; about best friends who work at a nightclub, and about the beautiful dancer who comes between them) starring Betty Grable, George Montgomery, Cesar Romero, Charles Winninger, Phil Silvers, and Paul Hurst. Note that Betty Grable obviously really loved this movie because she remade it just seven years later as Wabash Avenue! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned two examples of this six-sheet, and only one in the last 13 years (and both examples we auctioned were linenbacked)! Also note that this six-sheet was printed in 4 sections designed to overlap. Condition: good. There is separation, tears, and paper loss in the parts of the folds that were on the outside when it was fully folded. It falls to the left of Grable's head in the standing image (going slightly into her head) and down into her shoulder. It is also in the hair of the close up image of Grable to the right of that. There are some creases and several tears along the folds that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on the other folds, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds. The poster has very clear defects, but certainly, it can be linenbacked by a talented professional, and afterwards, it will look great! Learn More about condition grades
