This means that a professional restorer mounted it on to a paperbacking and then performed restoration to its defects. This particular poster was backed on to a fairly heavy paperbacking. While it could conceivably be rolled, it would almost surely damage the poster to do so, so we will only roll the poster if the buyer accepts responsibility for any damage. Since the poster can't be reasonably rolled and will need to be sent in a large flat package, so bear in mind this additional cost when bidding on this poster. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfold with some creases and tiny bits of paper loss on both folds. It had pinholes, smudges and a few creases around the edges with smudges in the top right tagline area and in the yellow background areas. It had smudges in Hayward's cheek. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
