Music!"; "All-American presents Cab Calloway and his Orchestra for the first time in any all-Negro feature!"; All-American Pictures felt that Cab Calloway as a big selling point in one of their movies, and they had him star as himself in this complicated story involving him involved with his pretty female manager, which makes his girlfriend jealous, and he gets involved with mobsters and murder too!) starring Cab Calloway ("in practically every scene"; as himself) and His Orchestra, Ida James, Miller Brothers and Lois, Jeni Le Gon, Peters Sisters, George Wiltshire, James Dunmore, Augustus Smith, and Dusty Fletcher (billed as "Dusty 'Open The Door Richard' Fletcher") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 40 3/8". Please do not bid on this poster thinking it is 27" x 41". Condition: very good. this poster has been linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had a 6" vertical tear in the top right (starting in the top border and running down the edge of the red flag into the top of the girl's shoulder); there was tiny paper loss along this tear; there was also small paper loss at the top two crossfolds and tiny paper loss along the middle foldline; there were pinholes in the corners with tiny paper loss; there was a tear in the right of the title area between the "E" and "H" of "DE-HO"; there were four diagonal creases in the left of the poster; The poster is in better condition than the above makes it sound! Its defects are mostly relatively minor and were well corrected during the linenbacking process. You can see signs of restoration from inches away, but from any distance away the poster looks quite nice! Learn More about condition grades
