The buyer of that poster had it linenbacked, and they have now reconsigned it to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned! Note that this is one of an amazing collection of 62 linenbacked Australian daybills that all have great art from Richardson Studio (or John Richardson, before he became "Richardson Studio"!), which many collectors feel have the best art and design of any Australian daybills, and are highly sought after by collectors. These were accumulated by a very dedicated collector over many years, and they are now being all offered at once (in 62 separate auctions), so this is a wonderful opportunity to obtain one or many of these daybills, many of which rarely are offered for sale or at auction. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tape stains in the top and bottom borders. There was paper loss in the right of the top border and small paper loss in the right border, with some small tears and tiny paper loss around the edges. There was minor wear on the folds.
