An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Jumbo Movie Window Card (WC; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Each Dawn I Die, the 1939 William Keighley newspaper journalism jail prison convict crime thriller ("From a Novel by Jerome Odlum"; James Cagney is a crusading journalist who ends up in jail with hardened convict George Raft) starring James Cagney, George Raft, Jane Bryan, George Bancroft, Maxie 'Slapsie Maxie' Rosenbloom, Stanley Ridges, Victor Jory, Emma Dunn, Edward Pawley, and Willard Robertson NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this jumbo window card! Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: good. The poster has surface paper loss scattered across the bottom blank area, but entering into the bottom background areas. There is also surface paper loss on the letters of "I DIE" in the title, and also a little bit on the letters of "EACH DAWN" (that surface paper loss is not that noticeable, because each letter was created with a partial white area). There are also small nail holes scattered in parts of the image, with an enlarged one near the top of Cagney's shirt. Fortunately, none are in either star's faces, but they are in Raft's hair and one in the back of Cagney's cap. There is paper loss scattered in the left blank border and surface paper loss in the other borders. There is surface paper loss in all the letters of "CAGNEY" and in the "RA" of "RAFT", with tiny dot stains in the "F" of "RAFT". Obviously, this poster has real condition defects, but they do not affect the image all that much, and after proper restoration, this poster will display really well. But certainly bear in mind the defects and look closely at our super-sized image before bidding on this extremely rare poster. Learn More about condition grades
