Hill (billed as "Bob Hill") cowboy western starring Bob Steele, Don Alvarado, Gloria Shea, Nick Stuart, Walter McGrail, Carmen LaRoux, Lafe McKee, Perry Murdock, Blackie Whiteford, and Jimmy Aubrey NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: fair to good. This poster has been linenbacked, but it was not very well done, likely both because the restorer did not do a good job at all, and because the years since it has been linenbacked have not been kind to the poster. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. Generally, it had paper loss, tears, and smudges on most foldlines and the borders were pretty tattered. The poster was not well backed at all, because you can still see some or all of the defects generally described above (in some cases, as should be immediately evident in our image, the linenbacker did no restoration to some of the defects), and if there was restoration of the above defects, it was not done very well. Certainly, a talented restorer could perform additional restoration (either with or without re-backing the poster), but it might be fairly expensive to have this done, so bear that in mind before you place a bid. Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
