Fleetwing, the 1928 Lambert Hillyer silent Arabia romantic melodrama ("Love's adventures on the sands of Araby"; "Story by Lamber Hillyer and Elizabeth Pickett"; about a young Arab man who steals a horse and a beautiful girl, but then the girl is taken from him and sold to a sheik; after many adventures, he manages to rescue her) starring Barry Norton, Dorothy King (billed as "Dorothy Janis"), Ben Bard, Bob Kortman, and Erville Alderson. Note that Barry Norton (born Alfredo Carlos Biraben) was an Argentinean man who started in Hollywood movies in 1926. His career greatly diminished after sound films began, which is odd, because he did not have an accent, but maybe his looks diminished the number of parts he could play (he played many Hispanic roles, including the Jonathan Harker character in the Spanish version of "Dracula" that was filmed simultaneously with the U.S. version in 1931). Note that Dorothy Janis was a teenage actress who made four silent movies, and then one sound one, and then promptly married bandleader Wayne King and retired! So this movie starred two actors whose careers went nowhere soon after it, which may be why this movie is completely forgotten today. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
