An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/4" [70 x 100 cm]) (Learn More) Io, Emmanuelle (released in English-speaking countries as "A Man for Emmanuelle"), the 1969 Cesare Canevari Italian romantic sexploitation movie starring Erika Blanc (in the title role as Emmanuelle), Adolfo Celi, Paolo Ferrari, Ugo Adinolfi, and Lucia Folli. Note that after the success of the 1974 film Emmanuelle, many authorized sequels were created. The success also spawned many "knock-off" Emmanuelle films, which included the name Emmanuelle or its variants in their titles for exploitative reasons, but were not connected to the original series. Note that this movie MAY have been inspired by the same book, "D'Emmanuelle", that 1970s series of movies starring Sylvia Kristel was based on, but if so, the author of this movie "borrowed" the plot without buying the rights (the book had been written in 1959 by Emmanuelle Arsan, although some people think that her husband, Louis-Jacques Rollet-Andriane, actually wrote the book). Important Added Info: Note that this item has been trimmed and it now measures 27" x 40 1/4" [69 x 102 cm]. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: poor. The poster was either originally an Italian one-panel or an Italian two-panel. Someone needed a "one-sheet" sized poster, and they cut out the image of the star and also cut out the portion of the title that said just "Emmanuelle", and they glued that over the bottom of the image!
