An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Across the Pacific, the 1942 John Huston & Vincent Sherman World War II (WWII) romantic spy espionage adventure thriller ("Boy! when Bogart boffs those Japs... or when he kisses Mary Astor you can feel it Across the Pacific"; "From the Saturday Evening Post serial by Robert Carson"; based on the story "Aloha Means Good-bye" by Robert Garson; set in the days right before Pearl Harbor, about a U.S. Army officer who is court-martialed, and he boards a Japanese ship heading to the Panama Canal and discovers a Japanese plot to blow it up) starring Humphrey Bogart, Mary Astor, Sydney Greenstreet, Charles Halton, Victor Sen Yung, and Frank Wilcox. Note that this film reunited three of the stars from the previous year's "Maltese Falcon", as well as director John Huston! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned three examples of this one-sheet, and only one in the last 7 years (and two of those three examples were in much lesser condition)! Condition: good to very good. The poster has extra vertical folds down the center of the poster with some creases along parts of those foods. The poster was folded in half an extra time resulting in a light vertical foldline at left and right and there are many creases around the edges with tiny pinholes in the corners. There are some tiny dot stains in the upper left blank border. There is a piece of tape on the back of each crossfold where there was separation and there is pencil writing on the back of the bottom corner where some theater employee did some figuring and ordering. After a relatively simple linenbacking this extremely rare poster will look great! Learn More about condition grades
