Toldy"; a pretty odd story of an American who is sentenced to death for his participation on the losing side of the Spanish Civil War, and a female reporter rescues him, and they resist romance because both are more interested in their individual careers!) starring Claudette Colbert, Ray Milland, Walter Abel, Dick Purcell, Dennis O'Keefe, Esther Dale, and George Zucco NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by Billy Wilder! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Note that this card comes to us from a collector who purchased them from a long time autograph collector who attended many shows and events on both coasts, obtaining autographs from celebrities in person. That autograph collector found out where Billy Wilder lived in Los Angeles, and he went to the building and asked the doorman if he could leave a package for Mr. Wilder (it contained a bunch of lobby cards, with a letter asking him to sign them). The doorman misunderstood what he was asking, and he called up to Mr. Wilder, who came down and met the collector and signed all the cards for him! Our consignor (and we) feel certain these autographs are authentic! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
