The 1964 Summer Games were the first Olympics held in Asia, and the first time South Africa was barred from taking part due to its apartheid system in sports. This is also the first Olympics that the Democratic Republic of Congo participated in. Artist: Yusaku Kamekura & Osamu Hayasaki Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare Japanese "B1" poster that measures 28 1/2" x 40 1/2" [72 x 103 cm]! "B1" posters are FAR more rare than "B2" posters (which measure approximately 20" x 28 1/2"), and because they are larger (similar in size to a U.S. one-sheet), they are more impressive when displayed on a wall! Condition: good. The poster was never folded. It has creases scattered down the center. It has darkening and some tiny brown stains in the bottom title area (there is significant darkening on the back of the left 5" of the bottom left of the poster).
