An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Two in Revolt, the 1936 Glenn Tryon dog horse best friends relationship gambling horse racing sports melodrama ("The brute love and conflict of the tameless waste echoes in two human hearts in a thrilling story of wild-horse courage and dog devotion."; a great story of a half German Shepherd-half wolf dog that is owned by a girl whose father owns a horse stable, and the father wants to drown the puppy, but she hides it in a horse's stable, and the horse and the dog become best friends, and later, the dog, all grown up, repays the favor by saving the horse from gamblers who have stolen him, but only after many adventures, and at the end of the movie, the horse is about to win the big race with his dog best friend barking happily) starring John Arledge, Louise Latimer, Moroni Olsen, Lightning ("the Dog"), Warrior ("the Horse"), Harry Jans, and Willie Best. Note that Lightning made an uncredited appearance in the 1934 movie, "The Case of the Howling Dog", and that got him discovered and he starred in a half dozen movies over the next three year, after which he retired from the screen! Also note that director Glenn Tryon had been a star of comic shorts in the 1920s, but in the early 1930s, his popularity waned, and he reinvented himself as a screenwriter and director, making over a dozen movies in the 1930s and early 1940s. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The blank borders of the poster had been trimmed off. It had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tears, on parts of some foldlines, with pinholes and tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
