Oh, You Women!, the 1919 John Emerson silent World War I (WWI) romantic love triangle feminist comedy ("A Roaring Comedy of Feminine Foibles"; "A John Emerson, Anita Loos production"; written by John Emerson and Anita Loos; a great early feminist movie, about a small town just before World War I, where a feminist and her grown daughter move to town and after war is declared, the feminist pair convince all the men to enlist, and then convince all the women to not only take their jobs, but to also start dressing like men, which bankrupts the local pretty dress shop owner, who is in love with the male lead, and when the soldiers come home on leave, they discover their women doing their jobs and old men doing the housework, but everything works out when the male lead tells the women that their men are being seduced by beautiful French women, which causes them to resume wearing "feminine" clothes!) starring Ernest Truex, Louise Huff, Joseph Burke, Bernard Randall, and Gaston Glass. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
