An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Frances Drake was an actress from the 1930s to the 1940s. She appeared in 25 movies (including some of the most famous horror titles of the 1930s!) until 1942, when she retired. Some of her movies include: Bolero, Mad Love, Les Miserables, It's a Wonderful World, The Invisible Ray, and Forsaking All Others. Though born in the U.S., she went to finishing school in England, and stayed to appear on stage there. She made some Hollywood movies, and then she married an English aristocrat in 1939, and she made two more movies and retired. She passed away in 2000 at the age of 87. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Frances Drake! Our consignor obtained the signature through correspondence with Miss Kerr in the late 1980s or early 1990s. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are certain the signature is authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good. The letters of the inscription are slightly smudges. The still has changed to a sepia color and there are creases, tiny tears, and tiny surface paper loss in the left of the top border.
