He is best remembered for playing the title role in the Oscar-winning "Oliver!" in 1968. That made him a star, and he had other juvenile roles in movies like Black Beauty and Crossed Swords. He then retired from movies in the early 1980s for around 30 years, but has recently resumed acting. He is an osteopath and he was a great friend of Michael Jackson's, defending him during his trials, and he has said that he donated sperm to Michael Jackson and that he believes that Paris Jackson is his biological daughter.
