Ruta Lee is a Canadian actress from the 1950s to the present. Some of her movies include: Witness for the Prosecution, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Funny Face. As of 2021, she is still alive at the age of 86!

Also note that this still measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm], and that it has a second image of the star on the reverse, which we have pictured. Finally, note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! Our consignor is a longtime collector and dealer. In the 1970s and 1980s, he wrote to stars and asked for autographed photos and index cards, and he also sometimes purchased signed items from other dealers. He does not have a certificate of authenticity for this item, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic.
