What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had a large area of paper loss in the middle left in an oval shape. It was mostly in the black background area, but it affected the top 1" of the "Effiel Tower" and a tiny bit of the side of Russell's leg. Otherwise, the poster had creases and some tiny tears in the top foldline and minor wear around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and the missing area was re-created well, but you can see slight signs of the restoration of the above defects.
