The Mighty Ducks (released in other English-speaking countries as "Champions"), the 1992 Stephen Herek Walt Disney teen ice hockey sports family comedy ("Written by Steven Brill") starring Emilio Estevez, Joss Ackland, Lane Smith, Heidi Kling, Joshua Jackson, and Brock Pierce. Note that the Walt Disney company founded the NHL team, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, named after this movie, and Disney sold the franchise in 2005, when the team's name was changed to the Anaheim Ducks before the next season began.
