As a teenager, she appeared in a few movies under her birth name, and then in 1948 she took the name "Terry Moore". Some of her movies include: Mighty Joe Young, Gaslight, Going Overboard, Peyton Place, and Come Back Little Sheba (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film). She is also well known for her strange long term romance with Howard Hughes, and in the 1970s she claimed they had been secretly married. As of 2022, she is still alive at the age of 93!
