An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More)

Coney Island, the 1943 Walter Lang Brooklyn New York City romantic love triangle musical comedy ("Sizzling... spectacle-songs-romance in the swellest musical ever!!"; set in the famous New York City Brooklyn summer amusement park and beach, which is currently being renovated and will return to its former glory!; about best friends who work at a nightclub, and about the beautiful dancer who comes between them) starring Betty Grable, George Montgomery, Cesar Romero, Charles Winninger, Phil Silvers, and Paul Hurst. Note that Betty Grable obviously really loved this movie because she remade it just seven years later as Wabash Avenue!

Condition: very good. This poster was well restored, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!).

good to very good. There was a 2" x 4" tape stain at the top center of the poster that has been painted over. There were creases and some tiny tears down the vertical fold, and a lesser amount on the other foldlines. There were tears, smudges, and some small areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Note that the person who linenbacked the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges.
