Kirk), Leonard Nimoy (as Mr. Spock), DeForest Kelley (as Dr. "Bones" McCoy), James Doohan (as Commander Montgomery "Scotty" Scott), George Takei (as Lieutenant Commander Hikaru Sulu), Walter Koenig (as Chekov), Nichelle Nichols (as Lieutenant Commander Uhura), Majel Barrett, Persis Khambatta (billed as "presenting Persis Khambatta"), Stephen Collins ("as Lt. Willard Decker"; "as Decker"), and Grace Lee Whitney. Note that the Star Trek TV show went off the air in 1969, with a cult following, but without a lot of general success. But there was enough interest built up over the following years that this movie was made in 1979. Three years later, Nicholas Meyer wrote and directed a sequel, "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan", which was a giant critical and commercial success, and led to all the many sequels and spin-offs in the years since! This poster is one of 18 that was consigned to us by Dean Reeves, who is the graphic designer for the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo (and has been since 2009). This is the largest pop culture event in Canada, sometimes attracting over 100,000 attendees. They have had many celebrity guests over the years, and Mr. Reeves met many of them in person and he sometimes asked celebrities to sign a poster for him in person, and he has now consigned 18 posters to us, which we are auctioning in 18 separate auctions. He of course does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are 100% certain the autographs are genuine! Also note that this is an advance one-sheet (note the "ADVANCE 1SHT" at the bottom of the poster). As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good.
