Date Sold 4/8/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Carnival Boat, the 1932 Albert S. Rogell romantic adventure melodrama ("Lusty melodrama of the tall timberlands") starring William Boyd (billed as "Bill Boyd"), Fred Kohler, Hobart Bosworth, Ginger Rogers, and Marie Prevost. Note that Ginger Rogers was the romantic co-star in the movie, and the movie centered around her love affair with Boyd, and how his father did not want him involved with her, because she was an entertainer on a carnival boat, but Boyd was such a big star at this time that the poster designer devoted the entire one-sheet to a huge striking image of him, and could not find any room for an image of sexy young Ginger Rogers! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good.
