An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked French Movie Poster (measures 23" x 30 3/4") (Learn More) Et Satan Conduit le Bal (released in English-speaking countries as "And Satan Calls the Turns"), the 1962 Grisha Dabat French romantic detective melodrama (written and produced by Roger Vadim; apparently, the posters for this movie were far more interesting than the actual movie, which is apparently not well regarded at all!) starring Francoise Brion, Catherine Deneuve, Jacques Doniol-Valcroze, Henri Jacques Huet, and Bernadette Lafont. Note that we do not believe this movie ever had a U.S. release, because we have never seen even one U.S. movie paper item from it! If anyone knows otherwise, or has ever seen any poster from it with an English language title on it, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Siry Important Added Info: Note that this French poster measures 23" x 30 3/4" and is linenbacked. Also note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this French movie! Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had very minor creases along the foldlines and a few minor border defects. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking.
