An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) George White's Scandals, the 1934 Thornton Freeland, Harry Lachman & George White musical comedy revue ("Musical numbers under direction of Harry Lachman"; "Entire production conceived, created and directed by George White"; there was a framing story of a backstage romance between an actor an an actress, but that took second place to a series of song and dance numbers by top performers of the day who worked for Fox) starring Rudy Vallee, Jimmy Durante, Alice Faye, Adrienne Ames, Gregory Ratoff, Cliff Edwards, Scotty Beckett, Margaret Hamilton, George White, and Dorothea Kent. Note that this movie was made right at the time of the beginning of the Production Code, and some of the songs caused problems for Fox, including Alice Faye's "Nasty Man", and "Your Dog Loves My Dog" by Rudy Vallee, Alice Faye, Jimmy Durante, and Dixie Dunbar! Important Added Info: Note that this poster comes from a collection that was consigned to us of window cards, inserts, and half-sheets, ALL of which are in MUCH lesser condition (as is immediately evident from looking at the images of these posters). Obviously, the cost of restoration of these posters will vary greatly depending on the extent of the defects, so please carefully study our super-sized image of each item BEFORE you place a bid.
