An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Madeleine Carroll was an English actress from the 1920s to the 1950s. She was a beautiful, classy blonde, just the type that Alfred Hitchcock would want for all of his later movies, and it is not surprising that she had starring roles in two classic Alfred Hitchcock movies: "The 39 Steps" and "Secret Agent". In 1935, Alexander Korda sold her contract to Paramount, and they put her in a series of movies, billing her as "the most beautiful woman in the world". Some of her other movies include: The Prisoner of Zenda, North West Mounted Police, and My Favorite Blonde. She passed away in 1987 at the age of 81. Condition: good to very good. The bottom of the still is lightly rippled caused by the snipe glued to the back. There is tiny paper loss in the top right blank corner. Learn More about condition grades
