Kenton Universal monster horror thriller sequel ("New Thrills as the monster stalks again!"; "Original Story, Eric Taylor"; the fourth Universal Frankenstein movie after the three 1930s classics; in this entry, Bela Lugosi as Ygor resurrects the Frankenstein monster and takes him to the doctor's son and they must find a new brain!) starring Cedric Hardwicke (billed as "Sir Cedric Hardwicke"; as Dr. Ludwig Frankenstein), Ralph Bellamy, Lionel Atwill (as Doctor Bohmer), Bela Lugosi (as Ygor), Evelyn Ankers (as Elsa Frankenstein), Lon Chaney Jr. (as the Frankenstein monster), Holmes Herbert, and Janet Ann Gallow NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that pressbooks were prepared prior to a movie being released. Often, changes would be made in a movie advertising campaign (billing of actors, different images, etc.), and the theaters would print up special supplements that they would send out with the pressbooks that had already been printed. These supplements are very rare, far more rare than the pressbooks themselves! Some pressbooks would have no supplements, some would have one, and some would have several. Condition: good. the pressbook has one 2" x 3" picture cut out from a publicity story on an interior page which affects the story on the reverse side; none of the poster images are affected at all; the lower 2/3 of the covers are cleanly separated from each other; the supplement is darkening around the edges but otherwise is in nice condition This pressbook is in clearly lesser condition. It has significant defects, such as tears, stains, smudges, and small areas of paper loss around the edges. It may have ads cut out, or be very fragile. However, it has never been folded, which is unusual, as almost all larger pressbooks were folded in half so that they could be more easily transported. We have given a good general description of the defects this pressbook has above. Please do not bid on this pressbook unless you can accept the clear defects that it has (if you look at the images we provide and read our description, you should get a good sense of what defects this pressbook has).
