A 1971 Re-Release (re-titled "His Wife's Habit" for this re-release) Vintage Theatrical Unfolded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) His Wife's Habit, the 1970 Joy N. Houck Jr. New Orleans Louisiana Mardi Gras thriller melodrama ("You might live with an alcoholic... Or you might live with a dope addict! But not His Wife's Habit"; "A habit practiced by strange women..."; "A habit whispered about..."; "A habit she taught her young innocent daughter"; "When you see his wife's habit, be ready to feel a sensation too startling to describe"; the "habit" referred to is "nymphomania", which was worse than alcoholism or drug addiction in 1970; the movie takes place at Mardi Gras time, and the woman is blackmailed by a creepy guy and his spooky sidekick) starring Georgine Darcy, Marcus J. Grapes, Michael Anthony, Gerald McRaney (this was his second movie role, after "Night of Bloody Horror", and he went on to a long successful TV career!), and Christina Hart (billed as "introducing Christina Hart"). Note that the movie was a box office failure, and after an aborted attempt to re-release the movie in 1971, it was finally re-released in 1972 as a horror movie under the title "Women and Bloody Terror" as part of a double feature with the 1969 movie "Night of Bloody Horror". Also note that IMDB lists the movie as a 1970 release with the title "Women and Bloody Terror" but we think they are in error. However, if anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the poster in this auction is one of several one-sheets we are auctioning in separate auctions that have something unusual about them. It is that all of these one-sheets (which date from 1967 to 1973) were never folded, which is VERY UNUSUAL for pre-1980 posters. They were found together, and you likely could never find another example of these posters that were never folded. We are 100% certain they are authentic one-sheets that were printed between 1967 and 1973!
