An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Zane Grey's Lone Star Ranger, the 1941 James Tinling Texas Rangers cowboy western (based on the novel by Zane Grey) starring John Kimbrough, Sheila Ryan, Jonathan Hale, William Farnum, Truman Bradley, George E. Stone, Dorothy Burgess, and Fred Kohler Jr. Note that star John Kimbrough was an All-American football running back, the star of the Texas A&M Aggies. He won the Heisman Trophy and was signed to a Hollywood contract. He starred in this movie and one other, and then joined the army during World War II. After the war, he became a professional football player for the Los Angeles Dons from 1946 to 1948! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the top crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other two crossfolds. There were extra creases and some small tears in the top horizontal foldline and in the top quarter of the vertical foldline. There was a vertical tear in the center of the brim of the man's hat at top right. There were pinholes around the edges of the poster and some smudges in the white background areas. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
