An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Laurel & Hardy, the 1947 stock poster ("It's a Laffzapoppin Comedy Riot!") created by Hal Roach for use by theaters showing re-releases of his 1930s and 1940s Laurel & Hardy movies. Note that the poster has a cool image of two three-dimensional-like cut-outs of Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank rectangle at the bottom. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one.

Condition: poor to fair. There are MANY large tears scattered in various areas (especially at lower right) that have been repaired with tape from the back and there is painted writing along the lower edge. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid and please do not bid unless you can accept the defects described above, or you are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
