An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Police Call, the 1933 Phil Whitman boxing sports family relationship crime melodrama ("16mm sound picture"; about a professional fighter who wants to quit, but he finds out his sister has gotten involved with gangsters, which forces him to have one last fight) starring Merna Kennedy, Nick Stuart, Robert Ellis, Roberta Gale, Mary Carr, Warner Richmond, Harry Myers, and Walter McGrail. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: poor. The poster had paper loss at the middle crossfold, and some fairly minor wear on the folds and borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but after the poster was backed, it received much water staining in the bottom 7" and many areas of surface paper loss in the bottom 5".
