An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Monster that Challenged the World, the 1957 Arnold Laven giant bug science fiction (sci-fi) horror thriller ("Crawling up from the depths... to terrify and torture!"; "A new kind of terror to numb the nerves!"; "From a story by David Duncan"; about an earthquake in the Salton Sea that unleashes a horde of prehistoric mollusk monsters!) starring Tim Holt, Audrey Dalton, Hans Conried, Barbara Darrow, Max Showalter, Mimi Gibson, Harlan Ware, Casey Adams, Gordon Jones, Marjorie Stapp, Dennis McCarthy, Jody McCrea, and William Swan NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had paper loss at the top crossfold and an extra vertical crease running from the top crossfold to the bottom crossfold. There were creases, tears, and some tiny paper loss down the center of the poster. There were pinholes, creases, and tears around the edges of the poster. The poster was well backed. You can see some traces of the restoration down the center of the poster when you look right at that area, but it is not very distracting at all. Learn More about condition grades
