Shiraz Arts Festival (also known as the "Iran Festival of Arts") was an annual international arts festival (including films) that brought together the East and the West. It was held for eleven years from 1967 to 1977 in the city of Shiraz and Persepolis in central Iran by the initiative of Shahbanu Farah Pahlavi. The twelfth festival was cancelled at the onset of the Islamic Revolution in 1978 out of concern for the safety of the performers.
