An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Buster's Bust-Up, the 1925 Gus Meins silent comedy short (produced by Abe & Julius Stern; based on the extremely popular newspaper strip cartoon characters by Richard F. Outcault) starring Arthur Trimble (in the title role as Buster Brown), Doreen Turner, and Pete the Dog (as Tige). Note that Pete the Dog played Tige in all the Buster Brown movies starting in 1924. He also became Pete the Pup in the Our Gang movies, and he played that role until 1931, appearing in an amazing 90 movies over those seven years. Supposedly, he lived for another 15 years after he retired! Also note that the Stern Brothers were a very energetic pair of producers who made over 500 silent comedy shorts between 1917 and 1929! Finally, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. We have only previously auctioned four key book stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper) until we received this great lobby card!
