Campbell Jr."; it is a re-make of the 1951 movie, "The Thing from Another World", based on the same story, and with James Arness as "The Thing") starring Kurt Russell, Wilford Brimley, T.K. Carter, David Clennon, Keith David, Richard Dysart, Charles Hallahan, Peter Maloney, Richard Masur, Donald Moffat, Joel Polis, and Thomas G. Waites. This is one of Carpenter's best movies, and in many ways it is more enjoyable and superior to the original version! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Drew Struzan Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been personally autographed (signed) by director John Carpenter! It was obtained at the Steel City Con, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania in 2022. This is one of a number of really cool posters signed by celebrities that we were consigned by a very dedicated long-time collector who not only went to many shows to obtain signatures, but also took images of the stars as they signed, so there is no doubt that this poster (and the others which we are auctioning in separate auctions) were absolutely signed by each of the stars! Of course our consignor has no "certificates of authenticity", but they DO have the images of the stars' signing, along with where they signed, so this is even better than having certificates, and we are certain that the signatures are authentic! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has a few light creases scattered in various areas, but they are not very noticeable or distracting, and otherwise it is in pretty nice condition!
