An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 14 1/2" x 19 3/4") (Learn More) Owen Wister's The Virginian, the 1946 Stuart Gilmore cowboy western (based on the world famous novel by Owen Wister, and the play by Kirk La Shelle & Owen Wister) starring Joel McCrea (in the title role as The Virginian), Brian Donlevy (as Trampas), Sonny Tufts, Barbara Britton, Fay Bainter, Tom Tully, Henry O'Neill, William Frawley, and Paul Guilfoyle. Note that few people are likely aware that this is not the second movie version of this novel (there was a famous one in 1929, starring Gary Cooper, but there had also been a previous version in 1923). Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 14 1/2" x 19 3/4". Also note that this poster was folded across the middle at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards).
