An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) A 44-Calibre Mystery, the 1917 Fred Kelsey silent cowboy western short starring Harry Carey Sr., Hoot Gibson, Claire Du Brey, Frank MacQuarrie, and Vester Pegg. Note that Hoot Gibson was a real life cowboy who worked in Wild West shows and as a stuntman in movies of the 1910s. During this time, he was married to Helen Gibson, who was a major silent star. In the 1920s, he became a major star of B-westerns. This was one of his early movies where he likely was cast for his stuntman abilities. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good to fine.
