Date Sold 10/26/2021Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Paris After Midnight, the 1951 Robert C. Dertano sexploitation burlesque thriller ("A spicy high class revue"; "OOO LA! LA! IT's snappy, saucy, spicy and a little bit naughty!"; "Snappy Music!"; "Toujours l'amour, tonite for sure!") starring Tempest Storm ("Winner of Hollywood's 'Mickey' Award"; "The Hottest Thing Ever!"), Flo Ash ("The 'Cutest Little Nudist'"), Tandalaye, Timothy Farrell, Iris Allen, Mary Andes, "and a galaxy of gorgeous Parisian girls!". Note that Timothy Farrell is completely forgotten today, but he had a fascinating life. He worked for 26 years for the Los Angeles County Marshal's Office, and was a movie actor at the same time! He mostly worked on low budget movies, including several for Ed Wood, although he did play a bailiff in the 1954 "A Star is Born", which was the ultimate typecasting, because he himself had been a bailiff, but he eventually rose to be the County Marshal. But in 1975, he was convicted of a felony (using deputies for political activities), and he was fired. He lived for another 14 years before dying of a heart attack. His life should be made into a movie, no doubt with Johnny Depp in the starring role! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that many exhibitors took low-budget 1930s and 1940s exploitation movies around the country in the 1930s and 1940s, exhibiting them in small towns with lurid ad campaigns, usually to packed houses! Often, the lobby cards from these roadshow releases consisted of a stock lobby card with an inset area that was 6 1/2" x 8 1/2", and the producers would glue eight different 6.5x8.5s on to eight stock lobby cards, thus inexpensively creating an 8 card set. Note that most of these type of movies are from the 1930s and 1940s, but that this movie is from 1952, so we think it is quite likely that this card is from the first release of the movie, and that it ONLY had a roadshow release. If anyone knows more about this movie or this lobby card, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is some slight darkening, tiny stains, and a tiny bit of paper loss around the edges. The tipped-in still is in nice condition. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
