An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) A Walk in the Sun, the classic 1945 Lewis Milestone World War II (WWII) military melodrama ("A new milestone of screen greatness!"; "From the novel by Harry Brown"; "Screenplay by Robert Rossen"; about a platoon in Italy in World War II, where the sergeant ends up in command due to deaths of his superior officers, and he must attack a Nazi-held farmhouse, and as the soldiers wait to attack, each of the members of the platoon tell about themselves in flashback) starring Dana Andrews, Richard Conte, George Tyne, John Ireland, Lloyd Bridges, Sterling Holloway, Norman Lloyd, Herbert Rudley, Richard Benedict, and Huntz Hall (in a rare non-Bowery Boys role!). Note that the screenplay for this movie was written by Robert Rossen, in the years when he was solely a screenwriter, before he became an excellent director! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has a few tears of varying lengths around the edges (partially repaired with tape from the back) and some faint scuffs and smudges.
