An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Movie Window Card (WC; measures 14" x 18 1/2" [36 x 47 cm]) (Learn More) Hang 'em High, the classic 1968 Ted Post cowboy revenge western ("The hanging was the best show in town. But they made two mistakes. They hung the wrong man and they didn't finish the job."; "Written by Leonard Freeman & Mel Goldberg") starring Clint Eastwood, Inger Stevens, Ed Begley, Pat Hingle ("as Judge Fenton"), Alan Hale Jr., Dennis Hopper, L.Q. Jones, and Arlene Golonka. Note that this movie was Clint Eastwood's first American movie after his trilogy of Italian spaghetti westerns (and the other movie he made in Italy, "The Witches"). He returned to the U.S. and wanted Sergio Leone to direct this movie, but he had already committed to make "Once Upon a Time in the West". The producers wanted many other famous directors to direct this movie, but Eastwood insisted on Ted Post being hired (Post had directed him in many episodes of TV's "Rawhide"). At one point after filming started, one of the producers clashed with Ted Post, and Eastwood told him to leave the set and not return, or the movie would not continue filming, and the producer did as Eastwood told him! Eastwood would show this kind of loyalty to people like director Ted Post and actors he liked working with, hiring people he had worked with in the past to work with him over and over again throughout his film career. Note that this window card was folded in half, and because it was folded perfectly in half, it can be sent in one of our standard size mailers. If it is purchased by itself (or solely with other posters that can be sent in standard size mailers), it will be sent that way. But if it is purchased with posters that need to be sent in oversized mailers, then we will of course send it that way. Condition: good. The window card originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this was commonly done with window cards, when the top had been left blank, or when someone had hand-scrawled play date information in that area). Most collectors do not consider it to be a significant defect at all, since only blank white paper is lost, and the window card becomes easier to frame. The card has darkened and has smudges around the edges, with a 1" tear in the upper right border. Learn More about condition grades
