Date Sold 5/15/2022 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 4 issues with Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn on the covers from Screen Stories, one of the many movie magazines sold to the public. Each issue features a great full color cover of a leading star of the day, plus condensed short "novelizations" of a group of then-currently playing movies (one would be longer and run as a "complete novel", and some "special features", which were typical publicity stories like what was then in other movie magazines). Each of the novelizations has lots of sepia images taken from the movie, plus portraits of some of the stars. Also, in every issue are many wonderful vintage ads, some in color and some in black and white, and sometimes the ads can be just as much fun as the original stories and pictures. Of course, some of the ads are from movies that were about to open, and in the early days of eBay, people would remove those full-page ads and auction them by themselves, and they would often sell for $10, $20, or more, just for a single movie ad removed from a magazine just like this! Note that the items in this lot are from the 1960s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them. Measurements: 9" x 11"Note that we have provided a picture of the front cover of each magazine, but no other images. Please know that these magazines are sealed in bags and are ready for shipping, and we cannot answer any questions about them or look through them for you, so please bid (or do not bid) based on the images we have provided. Condition: fair to good. Three of the magazines have yellowed tape down the spine. Please note that we briefly attempted to check to see if the magazines are complete and uncut, and we believe that they are. However, there is a slight possibility that we might have missed a small cut or a page that was neatly removed, and if that happens, you can return the magazines. We have solely provided an overall description of the condition of the magazine, but you can also refer to our super-sized images of the covers.
