An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

The Day Will Dawn (released in the U.S. as "The Avengers"), the 1942 Harold French English World War II (WWII) military action propaganda thriller ("To all Nazis and Quislings...The Secret Front is ready...and waiting for the moment to strike! Soon you'll feel the fury of the Avengers"; "Thrilling drama of the New Secret Front!"; "Treatment and Screenplay by Terence Rattigan, Anatole de Grunwald and Patrick Kirwen") starring Ralph Richardson, Hugh Williams, Deborah Kerr ("by arrangement with Gabriel Pascal"), Griffith Jones, and Roland Culver. Note that the tagline "To all Nazis and Quislings..." may not make sense to modern day moviegoers, but in the early 1940s, it was a common term used by people all over the world to refer to people who betrayed their own country (it was named after the Norwegian Vidkun Quisling, who helped Nazi Germany as it conquered Norway so that he could rule the collaborationist Norwegian government himself).

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and creases and separation on some foldlines. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great!
