There are also full page images for Paramount's top stars of the time, including Marlene Dietrich, Mae West, Claudette Colbert, Bing Crosby, George Raft, Sylvia Sidney, Gary Cooper does not get a full page, but he is on two shared pages, one with Carole Lombard, and one with Carole Lombard and Shirley Temple, in Now and Forever. There is a full page for W.C. Fields in Mississippi. There are small color images of Paramount's "players" (their second tier stars), and one of them is "Clara Lou Sheridan", who of course became Ann Sheridan soon after this (when she switched over to Warner Bros.). There is a page on Paramount British Pictures and four pages on short subjects, including ads for Betty Boop and Popeye, and a great full-page full-color ad for Max Fleischer's color cartoons. The book has red felt covers with the Paramount logo and 1935 across the bottom of the front cover. Note that this rare campaign book was printed in Australia. It has "Country of Origin - Australia" at the bottom of the final page. Otherwise, it may be exactly identical to the U.S. version, or it might be different in both content and page count. We don't know because we have never auctioned the U.S. version, and this is the first time we have auctioned this Australian version! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. The cover has much scuffing on the red felt, as does the back cover. There is paper loss and tears in the bottom of the cover, which affects the "1935", and small tears on the spine and in the bottom right of the front cover. The interior pages are in pretty nice condition. See our many images to get a good sense of the condition of this campaign book. Learn More about condition grades
